SA Music Awards
A few months ago I was approached by Nathan from the SA Music Awards saying they were wanting to open a category for the best music photograph of the year, and would we be interested in sponsoring it.
I was buoyed with the concept because Lauren, our resident order management specialist, is also a mighty gig photographer. Lauren had just produced an album of her work which is stellar. So I was thinking about this genre of photography and how it probably is overshadowed by the performers themselves. And people working as live music photographers may feel under-recognised.
Synergy to the rescue!
On Thursday night November 7th the SA Music Awards were held and I got to present the inaugural music photograph award! Very exciting.
It was a top night, we saw a bunch of new bands perform which has lit up my Spotify playlists, and Guy Sebastian was inducted into the hall of fame.
The category winner is Deb Kloeden for her rocking picture of Stu from the Empty Threats.
