We are proud to be hosting the Adelaide launch of Judith Crispin's book The Lumen Seed.

The evening will include a conversation with Judith that will reveal her approach and process that has led to this remarkable body of work as well as a small exhibition of prints, and projected images.

These photographs and poems are the culmination of a long project made in close consultation with indigenous people, document an attempt by the Warlpiri group to share sacred information with white people; the poems convey the artist's interpretation of those ideas, alongside her development of personal relationships with community elders.

The Lumen Seed sensitively depicts a cultural dialogue taking place before a backdrop of offenses against the Australian continent, as well as a history of systematic discrimination against indigenous peoples on the part of the country's white population.

Join us for the exhibition, book launch and artist's talk.
