[vc_row full_width=""][vc_column width="1/2"][vc_column_text]Recently I (Atkins’ Creative Director Kate Burns, oh and Paul’s wife) attended two days of classes with The School in the Science of Styling and Styling Inspiration sessions. I was there to gain inspiration to help me mainly in my photography of our products and initially I was worried it would be too much about styling rooms. But she actually thinks like a photographer all the time. She’s very structured and strategic in how she arranges work so that it will shoot well.
There is no separation of the styling and the photography so it was all really relevant to me. I know, especially in Adelaide, sadly there is often no budget for a paid stylist. These classes would help any photographer to feel more confident to not only think about these aspects in every shoot they do but also offer a level of styling as part of their services.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/2"][vc_single_image image="10218"][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css_animation="appear"]

She will answer any question with great thought and warmth. I have never called myself a stylist and am basically learning from scratch.
Initially I was pretty nervous about going along to a class no doubt packed with beautiful people who knew to the minute when the next Vogue Living would hit the stands. But Megan’s warmth and charisma relaxed the entire room as she launched into two days of tuition that somehow felt casual and unhurried and yet was more packed with insights and information than any I have attended.
The School is a magical studio in Rosebery, Sydney, set up by Megan Morton one of Australia’s leading stylists. At The School you will find a huge range of classes, all run by either Megan or her wonderful collection of creative friends all of whom excel in their specific fields. The School goes on Roadshow tours of the country to run their classes in other states. Next week it’s Adelaide’s turn.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width="1/2"][vc_column_text]Megan Morton
If you have been alive and interested in beautiful things, you have seen Megan’s work. Prolific and an astounding talent, Megan has styled for the best, across the world. From Vanity Fair to Vogue Living to Peter Alexander and back again she has done it all and brings her years of knowledge and her deep generosity to her own classes (Science of Styling and Styling Inspiration) and in her selection of teachers for all the classes The School runs.
Champion of emerging artists and craftspeople she is always finding the most amazing people to run classes in special unique things like hand dyeing fabric in the Shibori classes or Extreme Knitting where you use giant knitting needles to create deeply lush and textured pieces or Instagram Debunked with the prolific Stephanie Somebody. These are just a few of the glorious collection of classes offered by The School.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/2"][vc_single_image image="10219"][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image="10238"][vc_column_text]Small Business Makeover

"I am a sharer. I can't help it. For years now I have wanted to formulate what I have learnt in all my time styling and making beautiful. A last! I am ready. Please come and let's share, your house will thank you for it." Megan Morton.
“As you know I have long-believed in the power of house whispering. I know you know that it works. But behind this there is a visual science to everything that a stylist does.” Megan Morton.
Being a stylist is a strange phenomena. It’s one part collector, one part editrix and a whole lot of know-how. So what is the key to styling? And is it something you can learn? I think so.
