A book for a chairity.

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]We recently had some fun as part of the development of a new fine art product for us. We've been working with several of Australia's best wedding photographers and photographic artists to develop a fine art pigment print pages book. It's no ordinary book. Hand made in all elements but the materials, it's labour intensive but the effort produces an extraordinary thing of beauty.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css=".vc_custom_1442725550529{margin-right: 5px !important;margin-left: 5px !important;}"][vc_column][vc_single_image image="10795"][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Sheets of chalky soft Hahnemühle paper carefully printed upon using our fully calibrated and profiled pigment printers. Pages are then hand scored, collated and hand section sewn using cotton thread just as books for centuries have been. The entire book encased in a custom made cover of your choice. This is all your art prints bound in heartbreaking detail and care into one place. Turning the pages of these wonderful creatures is a thing of wonder. We are always excited to hear the latest magic idea from Megan, there's always something bubbling away and to be invited to help out with this special project was a thrill. This time it was for an amazing charity auction.

The Chairity Project 2015 is the second edition of Cult’s esteemed charity event that invites selected Australian and New Zealand creatives to reinvent an iconic chair design. Each creative is given complete freedom to reinvent the chair which is exhibited and auctioned off to a chairity of the creative’s own choice.

A beautiful book, filled with seven stories by Hans Christian Anderson accompanies this year's chair, a Series 7 by Danish designer, Arne Jacobsen. Beneath the chair seat you will find a set of Bang and Olufsen earphones though which Anna Utzon will read you the tales of adventure.

Chairity Project 2015 will travel interstate to our three showrooms in Sydney (5-7 November), Melbourne (12-14 November) and Brisbane (19-21 November) and the onliine charity auction time will be increased to give bidders more time to make sure they win their favourite interpretation.
