We are so pleased to support Alice Blanch in her latest exhibition Wild Wanderings. Alice's work continues to capture our heart with it's quiet observational tones. It is the definition of contemporary landscape photography. Alice works with film and old cameras, producing work that was never envisaged by the manufacturers of these matierials.
Wild Wanderings is a selection of 35mm photographs captured during times of travel on foot and by bicycle through the natural landscape of Australia and New Zealand. The following is a quote from Alice about the work:
"As human beings we are often preoccupied with doing, action and past and future happenings; all things that distract and blind us from the present moment.
Each photographic artwork in this exhibition was captured during an intense personal experience of being truly present within the landscape. This simple act of 'being' allowed my mind to open to the landscape in front of me and to see the unique and subtle beauty of each and every moment."
Alice has made a book which will be available for purchase at the exhibition.
