Getting to the roots of photography helps our understanding of how and why the craft has become an integral part of life. The wonderful team of Sam Oster and Cynthia Gemus are bringing history to life and putting it on the road with their Tintype traveller project.
Cynthia and Sam are restoring a caravan and repurposing it to be a mobile darkroom to teach the art of coating a wet emulsion, exposing and processing. The first outing for the caravan will be as a centre piece for the Shimmer Photographic Festival in September.
The project is a costly undertaking and they have launched a "Pozible" crowd funding campaign. If you wish to sponsor their undertaking, follow the link and support them, there are some lovely tangible rewards from your donation, a real win-win!
