Ansel Adams at work

This great 20 minute video swept through Facebook a few weeks ago, and we thought it is worth sharing to a wider audience. Youtube has some real gems buried amongst the mess.

Ansel Adams is an interesting character, his work has inspired generations of landscape photographers, and his technical approach to his work, particularly the Zone System, gave us a logical formula to approach photography. I think his work satisfied that rare balance of art and science that is at the core of photography.

There is an excellent reference to professionalism in photography in the middle of the film, worth taking note of.
